Inspired by Southern Italy, L’ABU offers vegan and cruelty-free anti-ageing skincare products. After several months of use, my skin still reacts well to L’ABU. What started as a trial run of product testing soon developed into my preferred morning skincare fix. Products that contain natural and organic ingredients stand the test of time. As a skincare enthusiast, I experiment with but typically avoid highly perfumed products or components that irritate my skin.
Once I find a product that is kind to my skin, I stick to it like glue. Being incredibly fussy may be a good thing in terms of decisiveness or knowing what you want. I often find that highly sought after or reputable products are long-lasting. Furthermore, I am selective about what skincare products I use due to having severe eczema as a child. In my case, eczema only resurfaces under severe cases of stress, but my skin is still sensitive and prone to dehydration.
L’ABU Skin’s Pore Refining Scrub allows for gentle exfoliation. I use this product two or three times a week as recommended. A bright complexion first thing in the morning followed by a compliment are clear indicators of skincare magic. Starting your day with words of encouragement also helps you seize the day. Hydrated and healthy-looking skin makes all the difference. When my skin feels and looks good, I feel more self-confident.
Furthermore, a regular skincare routine improves your mental and physical wellbeing. The Pore Refining Scrub contains subtle extracts of green tea and lemon, which help to detoxify, brighten and rebalance your skin. In terms of application, I suggest applying a small amount to sensitive skin.
I often use a face oil followed by a moisturiser after cleansing. Most moisturisers for dry skin have a thicker consistency and are cream-based. The Intense Anti-Ageing Face Moisturiser by L’ABU keeps my skin hydrated and is suitable for morning and night use. Known as an ACE moisturiser (no pun intended) for its intensive blend of vitamins A (retinol), C and E combined with hyaluronic acid, such ingredients create an anti-ageing formula by boosting collagen production. You may also notice a reduction of fine lines over some time.
The latest addition to my luxury selection of moisturisers is L’ABU Skin’s Collagen Boosting Intense Moisturiser, which protects elastin and collagen while retaining skin moisture. Both ACE and collagen moisturisers are effective. For those who may want to change skin care products, I suggest L’ABU as a safe transition. The products I have used thus far are gentle and less overpowering compared to other products. In addition, the ingredients in L’ABU products are organic and maintain skin nourishment.
I use the anti-oxidant Hydra Gel Mask for deep skin hydration, containing extracts of grapefruit and ylang-ylang. A vital benefit of the gel mask is that it provides an intense radiance boost. I recommend using this product once a week in conjunction with a pore-refining scrub. Excessive use of both may irritate the skin. Additionally, the gel mask can be used directly after the mineral clay mask as a duo therapy treatment.
L’ABU Skin is most definitely a favourite of mine amongst other products. I am a firm believer in the saying, ‘one shouldn’t try to change something if it’s working well.’ That said, it is better to collect fine goods rather than replace them entirely unless they have exceeded their shelf life.
