What Kind of Seaweed Is Good For The Skin?

When it comes to skincare, I love products infused with natural ingredients. Founded in 1997, The Bath House Shop offers a range of sustainably-sourced products made in the UK. At the Christmas in July Festival, I discovered this unassuming brand, the only skincare one amongst other retailers. The subtle presentation of the products, from miniature hand soaps to the simplicity of Kraft boxes, made me all the more curious about the brand.

The Bath House Shop had its first fragrance and skincare boutique in Kirkby, Lonsdale, to several North England shops. I have used The Kombu Seaweed skincare collection, bath oils, and fragrances by Bath House for one month to give my skin time to adjust to the products, understand and appreciate them—unless I experience an allergic reaction within 24 hours upon application. Let us begin with The Kombu Seaweed collection, containing signature ingredients such as kombu seaweed, marine extracts, and plant oils. The Hydrating Cleansing Milk is suitable for makeup removal. I apply a small amount in the morning and before bedtime, after which my skin feels soft and clean. I complete my skincare routine with Balancing Facial Toner, Hydrating Facial Serum, and Face and Eye Cream.

Climbing Trees To Free Your Mind.

All products are nutrient-rich with Irish Moss Seaweed, which hydrates; Bladderwrack Seaweed to revitalise the skin; Kombu Japanese Seaweed, for protection against free radicals; and Witch Hazel, to cleanse and tone. The creams are lightweight and exude a natural scent without overpowering the wearer. I recommend using the Purifying Face Mask twice a week for a deep facial cleanse, especially for those with sensitive skin. I sometimes experience a tingling sensation when using specific face masks, but the Kombu Seaweed is exceptionally gentle.

If you enjoy a candle-lit bath accompanied by a glass of wine and YouTube, why not try The Bath House Shop Bath Oils for ultimate relaxation. So far, I have used spirit and climbing trees, which are uplifting and smell divine. I have yet to try rosehip and sweet orange. They all contain skin-conditioning plant oils to help calm and relax the mind. I regularly use bath oils which also help to combat dehydrated skin.

The Bath House Shop – Flowers & Wild Roses.

A rich fragrance means so much to me as it defines your personality. That said, I tend to wear fresh and floral fragrances. Skimming Stones Eau de Parfum by Bath House exudes a long-lasting feminine scent with iris flowers and wild roses notes. I also have patchouli and black pepper, which is earthier and more masculine, containing black pepper, vanilla, and patchouli notes. Skimming Stones suits my strong yet sometimes soft personality. Overall, it is a feminine fragrance. Black pepper and patchouli is more gender-neutral and, as such, my partner regularly wears this fragrance.
